Deuteronomy 30:1-6
And will, coming to you all these things, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all nations, where you launch the LORD thy God,
And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all your heart and with all thy soul,
Then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will gather you from all the nations among which I spread the Lord thy God.
Even if your outcasts are at the edge of heaven, from there you gather the LORD thy God, and you take away;
And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and possess it, and He will prosper and multiply thee above thy fathers.
And the LORD thy God will circumcise your heart and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all your heart and with all thy soul, that you may live.
Moses told the Israelites that from the moment they were ready to turn to God, He would be ready to receive them. God's mercy is immeasurable. It goes far beyond what we can imagine. Even if the Israelis had deliberately turned away from God and ruined his life, yet the Lord would accept them back if they repented. God wants to forgive us and wants us to turn to Him. Some people do not realize this until the world around them has been destroyed. Then, the suffering seems to open your eyes to what God had said all along. You're separated from God by sin? No matter what distance you are from Him, God promises a new beginning if you repent and turn to Him.
